Grading:

Scale (No Curve)

Class Work:

Most graded class work will be practice labs done after lectures, weblog questions done at the end of the day, and any other small projects that are completed during class session. Anything a student fails to complete by the end of class can be turned in as homework the following session without penalty.

Homework:

Most of the homework assigned will consist of reading assignments from the text and whatever labs, weblog questions or any other in-class assignments the student does not complete by the end of the day. Any such items are due at the beginning of the following class session, and lose value exponentially for every day late (up to a week, when it is no longer counted). Other homework will also be assigned during the course of the summer.

Projects:

The two major projects in the class are websites that the students will create and then present to the rest of the class. The first project will be done in groups, while the second will be an individual project. We will go over the details of the projects as the course progresses.

Attendance:

Due to ATDP's rigorous 6-week schedule, students who miss more than 2 days of class are not eligible for credit. This is the policy of ATDP as a whole and there are no exceptions to this rule. If you expect to be absent from a class, it is to your advantage that you let us know ahead of time (via e-mail or in person during class), though of course many absences are unforeseeable, and we understand that. All class work and homework will be readily available for makeup on the course website, but is the sole responsibility of the student to complete and turn in promptly.
