Appearance

With its white curls and sturdy stature and big dark eyes, the Bolognese is one of the most appealing toy dog breeds out there. It's only around 9-12 inches at the shoulder and weights only 7-12 pounds. Bolognese tend to live for 12-15 years.

Health and Grooming

Bolognese tend to be very healthy, but like all dogs, are susceptible to certain diseases. It's a very high-maintenance dog when it comes to grooming and needs to be groomed minimally three times a week, but should be groomed daily.

Temperament

The Bolognese is moderately intelligent but very loving. He's not too hard to train but also not too easy. He makes a decent watchdog and would do just fine in an apartment.

Friendliness and Exercise Needs

The Bolognese doesn't need too much exercise, but does need lots of love. He's a very affectionate and friendly guy and loves to just sit and cuddle with you. He can be a little wary when it comes to children, but does great with strangers as well as other dogs and cats.
