Yorkshire Terrier Poodle Mix

Mission Statement

I created this website because I know that many people, when choosing to take in a dog, like their dogs to be non-shedding, hypoallergenic, or maybe even both. So this website is an easy, organized way to find a non-shedding/hypoallergenic dog that might be right for you!

What Makes a Dog Hypoallergenic?

When/If a dog is hypoallergenic, then the dog is believed to trigger less allergic reactions from people who are allergic to dogs. This is because what a person reacts to when they're allergic to a dog is the dander, so if a dog is considered to be hypoallergenic it usually means that they produce less dander and so there are less allergens to react to.

What Makes a Dog Non-Shedding?

Being a non-shedding dog is pretty self-explanatory, it means that that dog does not shed. What some people don't understand is that if a dog is non-shedding then it requires grooming, if it is not, then it will shed away it's fur and practically "self grooms." See, if a dog is non-shedding, then how does it get rid of it's hair? It gets rid of it's hair through grooming and haircuts, so taking care of their hair can be a lot more work, but then again, they won't leave fur throughout your house/yard.
