For the uninitiated, the glowing green hand box is an original version of the "Renew" spell icon, which is a priest healing spell... which, er, Dev linked already. ;P
I know what it means! The underlying message is:
"Kids, don't touch lit fireworks because otherwise, your time will be UP. Only you can prevent third degree burns."

So. I don't really know if the banner actually DOES indicate "tryphonesex" on it in some really obscure manner, or if Dev is just screwing with me and is trying to make me THINK that it's there. :P I already ran the banner through Photoshop and tried inverting/brightening/contrasting... tried zooming in on the tiny print on the clock, but it doesn't come out too well.
Yeah. I dunno. :P

Perhaps it's not actual hidden text, but it's in the image itself....

Doesn't seem to have an 'underlying' message at all... rather obvious, on the face of it: clock set at some time before midnight, with the 'timeline' or 'timecord' leading to the fireworks ... which signify the new year ... which is renewing the old (the hand reaching for it symbolizing the movement towards the new). ;p
As for 'tryphonesex,' it simply isn't written there. If it IS, then it's in too tiny a font or rune to even bother looking. ::chuckle:;
However, if it's not written but symbolized, that's another thing entirely. Here's how, possibly:
PHONE:
(1) the clock looks like the face of a rotary phone;
(2) that wiggly line seems like a phone cord;
(3) the fireworks looks like the 2 ends of an old telephone (i.e., not cellphone ;p )
TRY:
(4) the hand reaching symbolizes "try"
SEX:
(5) fireworks = orgasm ::snicker::
As for "renew"? I guess the designer is saying: have sex again, please. HAHAHA ;-)
Initial Photoshop investigation: sloppy. Photoshop investigation part II yielded real results.
