We are a basketball program started in 1923 by James Naismith. It was originally created as Bay Area Basketball, a league for basketball players in the Bay Area, due to the lack of organized basketball in the area. However, more basketball leagues formed in the Bay, so they decided to change itself into a camp for aspiring young players who want to compete at the next level. In 2000, the company was bought by current owner Daniel Hou and was renamed D1 Basketball. He changed our company into a mix between a league and a camp. Over the last 20 years, D1 has become a hotspot for talent, with over 100 players playing at the college level or beyond.

Our Mission

Our mission is about getting young players to the next level, either professionally or at the college level. As long as you put in the work, we will do what we can to get you to the next level.
