Steve Kerr
Steve Kerr is the coach for our Advanced team. He grew up in Lebanon, and eventually played basketball at the University of Arizona. From there, He played several year in the NBA and several more overseas. After his career, he settled down in the Bay Area and now coaches for us at D1.
Dawn Staley
Dawn Staley is our main camp coach. She grew up in Philadelphia, where she was named national player of the year during her senior year. She then attended the University of Virginia, where she became a star. She was drafted with the 9th overall pick in the 1999 WNBA draft. She played for 6 seasons. However, her main passion was coaching, and she began coaching at the University of South Carolina shortly after her playing career ended. After 10 years of coaching for South Carolina, she decided to join our program, where she has coached the last 4 years.
Mike Brown
Mike Brown is the coach for our Intermediate and Beginner teams. Mike was born in Ohio but grew up overseas, where he developed his passion for basketball. He returned to play in college, at UC San Diego. After college, he coached for the Golden State Warriors, until he retired. He continued to coach locally, and joined D1 6 years ago, where he has been coaching since.
Becky Hammond
Becky Hammond is the coach for our Beginners team, as well as the assistant camp coach. She grew up in South Dakota, and later played basketball at Colorado State, where she a 3 time All-American. She had a great 10 year career in the WNBA, and later became the first women assistant coach in the NBA for the San Antonio Spurs. She decided to join our program mainly because of the high level of play.
