Welcome To The Ultimate Survival Guide To Minecraft!

This Is The Overworld Section!

When you first log on to MC, what do you see? Trees, grass, maybe a random sheep happily grazing! This land is the Overworld! You can build a shelter, fight the mobs, and survive long enough to do whatever you want! In MC, anything is possible. Your starting ground is the Overworld, but soon, you may conquer more lands!

Da Basics!

Here Are A Few Basic Things Every Minecrafter Should Know How To Craft!

Crafting Table
To craft a crafting table, you simply have to make a 2x2 box of wood in your crafting-space in your inventory. Take the crafting table, and place it anywhere you want. These are useful for creating most things in MC! Right click to use!
Furnace
To craft a furnace, you need a crafting table. Right click and make a 3x3 box of cobblestone, (obtained by mining stone with a pickaxe) with a space in the middle. Take it out of the slot, and right click to use. These are useful for smelting ores! Note: you have to put fuel in the bottom slot in order for you to use it. :)
Brewing Stand
To craft a brewing stand, you need a crafting table. Right click and fill the bottom slots with cobblestone. Put a blaze rod in the dead center of the 3x3 space in the crafting space. Take your brewing stand, and right click to use! These can be used to create potions! Note: you need blaze powder to activate it.
Chest
To craft a chest, you need a crafting table. Again. Remember, these things are very important! So, basically make a furnace in your crafting table, but instead of cobblestone use wood planks. These are useful for storing stuff. Note: you can put two chests next to each other to create a double chest.
Armor Stand
To craft an armor stand, you need to use a crafting table. You need to place a stone slab in the middle of the bottom row, and fill in all of the slots (except the right/left of the middle row) with sticks. These are used for storing extra armor! Note: right click to place armor on it.
Bed
Are you afraid of the dark? The bed allows you to brave the night, just by jumping under the covers! Simply craft it by placing 3 pieces of wool above 3 pieces of wood, in your crafting table, and there you go! Place it inside your house for a cozy look. Is it past your bedtime? Jump right in, and it'll fast forward to day. Goodbye, monsters!

Your Shelter

When you first log on, you might just want to explore the pretty scenery. But, you'll have to build a shelter! The pros know how to, but you don't! Not yet, at least. But this section will tell you how!

Here are the basic, necessary things you need to build a safe, cozy home!

Gathering Wood!
All houses are made of wood, right? For that, you need it to build your awesome abode! Head over to the nearest tree, and punch the tree trunk (hold the left button) until a piece of wood pops out! Put that in your inventory, (in the 2x2 space in the top right corner) and take the planks that appear in the slot next to it! Repeat over and over until you have a decent amount of wood.
Walls
Now comes the exploring! Find a neat place to build your home. Once you're there, make a rectangle (with the wood) on the ground! Repeat, building up towards the sky each time, until you have four walls surrounding you, like a box with no lid or floor. At least you can escape through the top! Whew!
Ceiling
When you see the clouds gathering, you know you're about to have rain! Wait! You forgot the roof! You need a nice platform above your head, to keep the rain and water off your head. First, get to the top of your wall. Next, build a platform (1 block high) that spans your wall. Once you're done, you're all done with your ceiling! Take that, rain!
Floor
Ahh! You're safe and sound inside your shelter. You see the strong, wood walls, the ceiling, and the green, grassy floor... wait. That isn't right! You need a floor! Start by digging, (left clicking) until your grass floor is now gone and a space is all that's left! Take your blocks, and fill in the gaps you just made. Your floor is finished! Make sure to wipe your feet when you enter, though.
Door
Your snug home is looking pretty nice now! Time to go outside, and see how it looks! But there's a problem... you can't! Oh no! Start your door by making a two-block tall, one-block high space in your wall, starting on the ground. Fill in the space with a wood door (crafted using 6 blocks of wood.) There you go!
Windows
You're inside, and you're house is looking almost done! But you want to see the sunset! But, you don't want to go outside. How do you do that? With windows! Start by taking some sand, and smelting it in a furnace until you get glass. Make spaces in your walls, and fill them in with your glass! Ahh! What a lovely sunset!
