Secrets and Stunts

Like most games in the world today, Halo: Combat Evolved contains many secrets, AKA "easter eggs." When you find one it's usually both humorous and satisfying.
Edit Multiplayer Gametypes

Probably the easiest one to find, this easter egg has two funnies. Seen on the screen to edit multiplayer gametypes, it shows Master Chief's suit with basic schematics on it. This image enlarges the small text in the image to which the red arrows point to.
Secrets: Top right -> "All your base are belong to us"
Left middle -> "Sometimes I give myself the creeps. Sometimes my mind plays tricks on me."
Hello My Name Is

One of the harder easter eggs to notice, on the first level, "The Pillar of Autumn," zoom in on one of the bulletin boards scattered throughout the ship, and you'll see strange messages. Such as on the yellowish sheet in the middle.
Secrets: Yellowish sheet in the middle: "MARINES: SCOOTERS ARE FOR SQUIRTS. No scootering on deck."

Stunts (Halo: Combat Evolved for PC & Mac)

When people who bought Halo: Combat Evolved for their PC and Mac, they got a lot more content than the XBox-ers did. Free online play, a flamethrower, the fuel rod gun, and even some new maps. The WASD and mouse combo also allowed for more control and eventually some people invented the art of stunts for Halo. Here's some screenshots that I, a veteran stunt master, have took a few days ago.

Tanks Lined Up Preparing to Fire

Here is a classic tank line. We're about to fire simultaneously at another player in a Ghost about to drive off a cliff.

Warthog Preparations Warthog Preparations Warthog Preparations
Here, I'm helping others stick plasma grenades to a Warthog. They're not exploding because the host has a mod which freezes the game clock so grenade fuses don't start. This is also a classic stunt.

Warthog Explodes Warthog Explodes Warthog Explodes

And voila! Great fun for the people who jump in the 'hog before the game clock starts up again.
Below: the occasional guy who falls out of the 'hog in mid-air.
