A Brief Description

The Galapagos are located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, west of Ecuador. This island is famous for Darwin's discovery and the visible signs of evolution. You can see the finches that helped make Darwin's discovery, and many of the other animals. The underwater life includes playful sea lions, peaceful manta rays, and curious hammerhead sharks. There is also coral that is home to many other small creatures. On the land, there are also many creatures including 100 year old tortoises, and various types of birds. There is also lots of geographical features, many them formed by the nearby volcano.
