Covenant Weapons
All Covenant weapons with the exception of the needler use batteries that cannot be replaced or reloaded by human hands.
The Covenant plasma pistol is mostly used by grunts and jackals. These small weapons are notoriously known for the ability to overcharge the shot to create an alamingly large ball of plasma. On the firing of this charge however, the pistol overheats and must cool off before further use. Overcharging the plasma pistol also dramatically drains the battery.
Ammo: Plasma Bolts
Battery: 100 units
Core power output: 100-150 kV : 2-3 dA
Overcharge power output: 1.2 mV : 2-3 dA
Fire rate: Fast
Accuracy: High -> Medium
The Covenant plasma rifle is used almost exclusively by elites and has a faster firing rate as the pistol.
Ammo: Plasma Bolts
Battery: 100 battery units
Core power output: 100-150 kV : 2-3 dA
Fire rate: 420-600 RD/MIN (fast)
Accuracy: Medium/High -> Low
The Covenant needler is a fearsome weapon. It spits needles and the needles embed themselves in the target, only to explode some seconds later.
Ammo: Explosive Crystal Fragments (Needles)
Needles from crystal: 20 needles
Max reloads: 80 needles
Damage: Low/Medium
Fire rate: Medium/Fast
Accuracy: Medium -> Low
The fearsome plasma grenade, AKA "sticky bomb" is a fun weapon. It throws like a grenade but sticks to vehicles and bodies, impossible to rip off. When it explodes a bright blue cloud of plasma and a spray of blood can be seen if a victim is present. The splash from it will instantly disrupt shielding systems.
Max grenades: 4
Damage: Low -> 1-hit-KO
The Covenant fuel rod gun is normally fitted into the armor of hunters, but can be seen carried by special-ops grunts. It is only usable in the PC and Mac versions of Halo: Combat Evolved as the ones carried by the grunts explode violently when dropped. The shots fire in arcs and explode on contact. It is feared for its ability to melt metal and flesh alike.
Ammo: Fuel Rods
Clip Size: 100 battery units
Core Power output: 250-300 kV : 4-5 dA
Overcharge (used by hunters) power output: 2.5 mV : 4-5 dA
Damage: High
Fire rate: Medium
Accuracy: Medium/High -> Medium
