Chapter 2: Expiration date 2001

Expiration Date 2001 is about Miwa, who likes Kenta Morinaga. In the summer of 1999, Kenta gives Miwa a can of soda, which Miwa treasures. She is determined to become Kenta's girlfriend by the expiration date (July 1st, 2001) on the can of soda. However, as it becomes even nearer toward the expiration date, Miwa attempts and fails many times to confess her feelings to Kenta. Her friends continue to tell her that she has to tell Kenta and Miwa finally snaps and says that she might as well forget about Kenta. Unfortunately, he overhears and walks away from Miwa. Days later, Miwa decides to give Kenta back his soda and Kenta smiles and asks if Miwa would like some.
