Chapter 1: Love at First Touch

Love at First Touch follows the story of Eri, who secretly likes Kohei Taniguchi after one day he attempted to cheer her up after a disagreement with some of her classmates. She says she can't "deal with his hands," but during Field Day, Eri must find someone with a pierced ear for the scavenger race and Taniguchi offers to run with her, so he grabs her hand and starts running. After the race, Eri wants to thank Taniguchi, but stops when she sees him put his arms around other girls. However, during the post-Field Day party, everyone starts to call Taniguchi and Eri a "couple" and Taniguchi jokes around saying that they should go out together. Eri slaps Taniguchi and walks away. Later, Taniguchi confronts her and she confesses that she likes him. As she's about to leave school, she sees Taniguchi waiting for her at the door. Taniguchi then asks if he can hold Eri's hand.
